About Grand River Voices
Grand River Voices is an engagement project of a newly-formed nonprofit that will serve as the backbone of a network of river revitalization partners that includes public agencies, local nonprofits and neighborhood leaders. The nonprofit’s Board has committed to centering equity and inclusion practice in its collaborative efforts to restore and revitalize the Grand River corridor from Riverside to Millennium Parks.
For much of 2022, Grand River Voices will focus on engaging underrepresented communities to co-create an Equity Framework that will guide the nonprofit’s strategic goals and work. After the Framework is complete, Grand River Voices will become an ongoing community tool to maintain excellent communication and a feedback loop for all Grand Rapidians interested in the River project, equitable economic development, and other opportunities to stay informed and keep engaged with the River work.
